After more than 6 years of experience with ceramic hotgas-valves in various use areas (e.g. RTO systems, Mg and Al melting furnaces, regenerators) at some details new opportunities for improvement were identified.

The consequent development of these "details" and of our modular construction led in the result to a new and much improved design.

The design became more flexible and can even be better matched to customer requirements.

Some examples of improvements

• Through constructive adjustments in the production the tolerances of the ceramic components decreased. This improves the running characteristics and the tightness can be improved.
  
  
  
  
• Insulation contains now additional a "pipe-protection" insulation with plates from fumed silica (Si0₂) covered with alumina-foil. By this the "insulation"-performance is doubled and the reliability increases.
  
  
  
  
• For the shaft bushings we have developed a sealing system made of PTFE. This system allows a gas-tight passage of the shafts.
  
  
  
  
• The bearing and the axle shafts have been constructed new and can now also reach very specific customer requirements with all bearing types and materials to run.
